Mombo
Long known as “the Place of Plenty,” Mombo boasts enormous concentrations of plains game and predators and is considered to be one of the best areas for game viewing in Africa. Mombo aims to maintain the traditions and history of the camp, as well as to celebrate our Conservation Purpose - indeed, one of our greatest conservation successes: the reintroduction of black and white rhino into the wilds of Botswana.
Qorokwe
The area comprises 26 180 hectares (64 692 acres) of scattered acacia woodland, occasional wetland and seasonal floodplains. The concession is situated in the south-eastern part of the Okavango Delta and is separated from the well-known Moremi Game Reserve by the Gomoti Channel. The Santantadibe River forms part of the western boundary of the concession and is typical habitat of the Okavango Delta, with seasonal palm-dotted islands, wooded islands, tranquil waterways and dry woodland areas. This ensures a year-round, diverse variety of wildlife and birding habitats that make Qorokwe unique.
Savuti Camp
Savuti is set on the productive Savute Channel – a refuge for a variety of wildlife and a fascinating natural phenomenon: When dry, it is a rich feeding ground and corridor between the mopane woodlands for both plains game and predators. When the waters flow, game congregates around it in numbers. Activities include day and night game drives, nature walks and boating (water levels permitting).
Jao
Situated in the very heart of the wetlands of the Okavango Delta, the 60 000-hectare (150 000-acre) Jao Concession embodies all the magic and mystique of Botswana with vegetation that varies from permanent swamps to dry land. In the east, the Jao Flats boast water channels that cut their way through the papyrus and reed beds, providing the perfect environment for wildlife. Beautiful lush palm islands dot the water. Around the Jao Flats spectacular herds of red lechwe are followed by the primary predators – lion and leopard. Other game includes tsessebe, elephant, hippo and crocodile. Sitatunga are seen occasionally, and sightings of spotted-necked otter are regular. Birding is exceptional in the Jao Concession, with Vulnerable wattled crane, slaty egret, rosy-throated longclaw, Pel’s fishing-owl, and lesser jacana to be seen in the wetter areas. Other exciting species include swamp nightjar and brown firefinch.
Sandibe
Set in a cool forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees, Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge looks out over spectacular Delta views. Situated on a private concession, Sandibe has exclusive traversing rights over 22 500 hectares (55 600 acres) of wildlife land adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Behind the lodge, goldengrassed floodplains stretch into the distance, framed by lush palm islands and the spires of giant termite mounds. The beautiful organic architecture of the lodge blends seamlessly with one of Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes. Drawing its inspiration from nature, Sandibe is serene and earthy.
King's Pool
Named for Scandinavian royalty, this stylish camp overlooks the oxbow-shaped King’s Pool Lagoon and Linyanti River system. Activities include day and night game drives, walks, and nearby hides, ideal for photographing birds and wildlife. In the dry season, guests can spend their siesta watching game come down to drink at the unique underground hide, where the water is at eye level. Seeing elephant feet and trunks almost within touching distance while safely inside is an experience that transcends that of an ordinary safari.
Little Mombo
Little Mombo is a celebration of our conservation purpose, and together with Mombo, is the spiritual home of the Botswana Rhino Reintroduction Project. It combines luxury and service excellence with a celebration of the amazing natural splendour that is the Mombo Traversing Area. Renowned as “the Place of Plenty,” the enormous number and variety of wildlife around Little Mombo makes it a hugely sought-after wildlife-viewing destination.
DumaTau
DumaTau, on the banks of the Linyanti River’s Osprey Lagoon, is located close to the source of the Savute Channel, between two elephant corridors, offering an exclusive combination of land and river experiences. Wildlife is viewed during game drives, on nature walks, and while boating along the serene waters of the Linyanti River (levels permitting).
Little DumaTau
Situated just to the north of DumaTau on the same lagoon frontage, Little DumaTau is a haven of sophisticated elegance in one of the best wildlife areas in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Its position allows easy access to the Linyanti Swamps, Savute Channel and Linyanti woodlands.
Xaranna
A maze of sparkling lagoons, meandering channels and overgrown islands teeming with wildlife, Botswana’s Okavango Delta lies like a sparkling jewel at the heart of the Kalahari Desert. Known as the river that never finds the sea, the Delta’s crystal-clear channels spread over the thirstlands of the Kalahari with their papyrus-fringed banks and fertile floating islands. Adapted for a life in and out of water, the elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga are found in this watery wilderness.
Tuludi
The camp is perched amid a grove of majestic trees that include Apple-leaf, Leadwood and Combretum, and sprawling ahead are the open savannah floodplains where the bird and animal life is abundant. It was these beautiful surroundings that were the inspiration for Tuludi. The camp itself is open and airy and no matter where you sit, be it the poolside deck, the lounge, or the surprise tree-top library, you are surrounded by the bush. The different guest spaces are unique and can be enjoyed quietly or interactively, depending on guest preferences.
